American Legion Riders By Laws

The American Legion Riders is a dynamic national program administered by the departments and posts in each of the 50 states as well as in several locations overseas. The national ALR membership is now roughtly 110,000 Riders, all of who are current members of The American Legion Family.

The American Legion Riders are not a motorcycle club, and do not practice M/C rules or regulations. Legion Riders live by the principals and ethics of The American Legion. We just ride to serve the Veterans and their families. The American Legion Riders are family-oriented, just as is its parent organization: The American Legion.

The American Legion Riders are members of The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, and Sons of The American Legion, who are also motorcycle enthusiasts. Legion Riders participate in parades, memorial events, motorcycle events and various other activities in support of veterans, their families and the community.

There are over 2,000 post-affiliated ALR Chapters worldwide. One of the fastest and most highly visible of the many programs offered by The American Legion, The American Legion Riders are a very diverse group, and so are the programs that they support.
