Local Community Involvement

ALR Chapter 245 is involded year 'round in various community programs and outreach.

American Legion Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students. It is a participatory program where each student becomes a part of the operation of his local, county, and state government. Click here for post information.
At various times, ALR 245 collects donations that are needed by the Humane Society.
Each year ALR 245 collects money and toys for the Seguin Police Department Blue Santa Program to help out children of less fortunate families so that they may have a good Christmas
Each year, Riders visit several area nursing homes to visit with the Veterans on Veteran's Day and Christmas Eve, to let them know they have not been forgotten.
ALR 245 has partnered up with Seguin Veterans Ministry Program to help serve a Christmas meal to Veterans and their families and to give presents to some of the families in attendance.
ALR 245 has made coordinations to receive several City of Seguin and Guadalupe County Proclamations for Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month and the 4 Chaplain's Ceremony.
